In 2016, Camberwell College of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London (UAL), held its annual degree show, showcasing the innovative work of its students. The event was a testament to the creativity and talent of the students, and the degree show catalogue was no exception.
The Camberwell 3D Design Show Publication 2016 was not your typical degree show catalogue. Instead of a traditional booklet, the students decided to create a series of A5 postcards. Each postcard featured a different student’s work, allowing visitors to the show to collect the postcards they liked best and create their own curated set to take away. This unique take on the degree show catalogue was a creative and interactive way to showcase the students’ work.
The postcards were printed in full colour on the front, with a black reverse, onto 150gsm Uncoated paper. They were then trimmed to size and a 6mm hole was punched in the centre, around 12-15mm from the top. The postcards were supplied in like-for-like sets, with 24 versions and 2500 of each version produced. This print spec ensured that the postcards were high quality and durable, allowing visitors to keep them as a memento of the show.
The Camberwell 3D Design Show Publication 2016 was a great example of creative degree show catalogue printing. It showcased the innovative thinking and creativity of the students at Camberwell College of Arts, and provided a unique and interactive experience for visitors to the show.
