In the world of football, there’s a unique charm that lies beyond the glitz and glamour of the Premier League. It’s found in the heart of the community, in the passion of the fans, and in the stories that unfold on and off the pitch. This is the world that Barley Nimmo has captured in his photobook, “Oh Ori Ori”, a captivating journey through Leyton Orient FC’s 2018/19 season.
The project, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter, is a testament to Nimmo’s talent and dedication. As a football art book, it goes beyond the usual action shots to capture the highs and lows, the drama and the mundane, the faces and the emotions that make up a football season.

The book is filled with stunning images that tell a story. From the intensity of the players on the pitch to the anticipation of the fans in the stands, each photo is a snapshot of a moment in time. Modern football, with its multimillionaire superstars, is watched, adored and closely followed across the globe. Within this project ‘Oh-Ori-Ori’ Barley chose to find out what fan culture was like within areas of the English game which aren’t regularly witnessed by millions and millions. He wanted to see what the sport, the clubs and the players meant to fans in the National League.
At Ex Why Zed, we understand the power of print. We know that a well-printed book can capture the imagination, tell a story, and create a lasting impression. That’s why we’re proud to have been a part of the “Oh Ori Ori” project, helping to bring Nimmo’s vision to life.
